Article Title: Power storage material and ultra power storage body
Article Snippet: The specific surface area of fibers such as cellulose fibers used in the power storage material according to the present invention can be measured by a method according to the following procedures (1) to (9) with reference to a nitrogen gas adsorption method (JIS Z 8830). (1) About 3% slurry of cellulose fibers (dispersion medium: water) is separately placed in a centrifuge container so that the solid content is about 0.1 g, and 100 ml of ethanol is added. (2) The resulting product is stirred at 3000 rpm for 30 minutes in the container, using a Homo Disper Model 2.5 (manufactured by Primix Corporation). (3) After stirring, cellulose fibers are precipitated in a centrifuging device under the conditions of 7000 G, 30 minutes and 30° C. (4) The supernatant is removed so as not to remove the precipitated cellulose fibers as much as possible. (5) After the supernatant is removed, 100 ml of ethanol is added, and further, stirring under the condition (2), centrifugation under the condition (3), and removal of the supernatant under the condition (4) are repeated three times. (6) The solvent of (5) is changed from ethanol to t-butanol, and stirring, centrifugation, and removal of the supernatant are repeated three times in the same manner as in (5) at room temperature that is equal to or higher than the melting point of t-butanol. (7) After the final supernatant is removed, 30 ml of t-butanol is added, the resulting product is mixed gently, then transferred to a conical tube, and allowed to freeze using liquid nitrogen. (8) The conical tube is attached to a freeze-dryer and freeze-dried for 3 days. (9) Thereafter, BET measurement is carried out (pretreatment conditions: 105° C., under a nitrogen stream for 2 hours, relative pressure: 0.01 to 0.30, sample amount: about 30 mg).
